Sawyer County, WI
Finally, mid-February of 2025, it seemed that our Sawyer County snowmobile trails got enough snow to be considered in ‘good’ condition, so I hit the trails as much as I could over a 5-day stretch.
Thursday’s Relic Riders lunch run started my riding spree, followed by a weekend of riding through the northern part of our county, as well as throughout the Chippewa Flowage areas.

Don’t get me wrong- the trails are in as fabulous shape as they can be, due to the work our groomers have been doing, but we still could use more snow as our trail base continues to be thin. Either way, it felt wonderful to be out riding again and seeing all the snowmobilers in our area enjoying our northwoods trails!
Below is my article about snowmobile riding that was published today in the Sawyer County Record.
I’ve been out riding almost every day this week as well – and hope that the weather forecasters are wrong about the upcoming warm weather spike next week!
