On Friday, December 6, the Sawyer County Alliance held its annual fundraising Holiday Gala- and was it ever fun! Each of the 12 tables are festively decorated by a sponsor- such as one of the Alliance clubs, or a business. The 120 seats are sold out every year- and partygoers enjoy a great meal, the chance to win raffle baskets, prizes off the Coca-Cola Tree, silent auction items, all set to a background of live holiday instrumental music. The High School Choir student volunteers helped out at this event and treated us to a few live performances as well. The Alliance Fundraising Committee again did a smashing job – and earned the Alliance about $9000 in a four-hour span! WOW!
