Chippewa Flowage- Sawyer County/Hayward, Wisconsin
Come and join us for this new UTV event hosted by Deerfoot on the Chippewa Flowage- on Saturday January 25, 2025, beginning at 2 pm! Here is the Facebook link to the event page and below is more info on the day’s events as reported from Amanda at Deerfoot! Riders- as a reminder, County Road B is open to ATV traffic – you can ride to this event!
Here’s a rough schedule of how we expect the event will run:
2:30pm – Obstacle Course with Timer (thanks Brandon!)
3:30pm – UTV Tug-of-War (thanks to Vaughn for the springy tow strap!)
4:30pm – Best Accessories Contest (looking for celebrity judges to help with this event)
5:00pm – Chippewa Flowage Night Ride, departing from Deerfoot, visiting Shady Nook, Pat’s Landing, Chippewa Pines, Big Musky & then back to Deerfoot. Gene Richardson, Tim Davison and Brandon Westphal have all offered to help lead (thanks, guys!), and depending on how many UTVers want to participate in the night ride, we may want to split into smaller groups and rotate so we don’t overwhelm any of the bars all at once.
-The 2pm-5pm Showcase event will be hosted on the ice off the west-facing shoreline of Deerfoot (where we hosted our Polar Plunge). If you come to Deerfoot by road, the easiest way to access the event will be to turn right by Cabin 1 at the resort entrance; we will have signage to help direct people
-Deerfoot will have bonfires & music set up on the ice
-Musky, Sno & ATV will have a club booth with membership info (and fundraiser pudding shots, I believe!)
-Hayward Power Sports will have demo machines & giveaways
-Ravek will have one or more demo machines & giveaways
-Greg & Cara Collins hope to bring a couple of racing sleds to showcase
-The establishments on our Night Ride have also agreed to provide giveaways as well
